Scenario: Jessica and her husband needed to refinance existing debts and access additional funds but had been declined by several banks due to a complex income profile and servicing constraints.

We identified a non-bank lender that took a common-sense approach by assessing the customer’s overall financial position rather than relying solely on standard bank policy. This enabled us to structure a solution that consolidated the customer’s debts and provided additional funding for investment purposes.

Outcome: Jessica and her husbands monthly repayments were lowered, we improved cash flow, and secured the funds they needed without compromising their financial goals. This solution demonstrated how thinking outside the box and matching the client with the right lender delivered the best possible outcome.

Scenario: Mary had recently become self-employed and was looking to purchase her first home. With less than 12 months of self-employment history, her major bank was unable to assist under their standard policies and change in income stream.

We partnered with a non-bank lender that could assess the Mary’s current business performance using alternative income verification. By presenting a strong application supported by business bank statements and evidence of consistent income, the loan was approved.

Outcome: Mary was able to purchase her first home sooner, without waiting another year to meet traditional bank policy, achieving their homeownership goal with a lending solution tailored to their circumstances.

Scenario: A long-term self-employed customer of major bank was looking to purchase an investment property but had recently missed a repayment, resulting in the bank declining the application under their credit policy despite an otherwise strong financial position and personal and business banking customer for twenty plus years.

We partnered with a non-bank lender that took a more flexible approach, considering the customer’s strong repayment history, business performance, and the circumstances surrounding the missed repayment rather than focusing on a single credit event.

Outcome: The customer secured finance for their investment property, allowing them to continue building their property portfolio. By matching them with a lender that assessed the overall strength of the application, we achieved an outcome that wasn’t possible through the major banks.

Scenario: Eva and her husband wanted to refinance from their major bank and purchase an investment property to help their son John enter the property market. Although they had a strong repayment history and a positive credit score, their existing bank declined the application due to borrowing power limitations under its servicing policy.

We identified a non-bank lender with a more flexible servicing assessment that better reflected the customer’s true financial position. By restructuring the loan and leveraging the available equity, we secured the additional borrowing required to help her son enter the property market.

Outcome: The refinance was approved, allowing the customers to purchase the investment property while supporting their son John’s pathway into the property market.

This solution delivered an outcome that wasn’t possible under the major bank’s lending criteria.
